Reservation notifications (for hosts)

Hosts are notified of new reservations in multiple ways:

  • New reservations:
    • Email: Each new reservation triggers a notification email to the host with details of the reservation. Make sure to verify your email to ensure deliverability.
    • SMS: Each new reservation triggers a notification SMS to the host with details of the reservation. Make sure to add and verify your phone number to ensure deliverability.
    • Push alert: Each new reservation triggers a notification push alert to the host with details of the reservation. Make sure to download the app and turn on push alerts to receive these notifications.
  • Reminders: Hosts are sent a reminder email, SMS and push alert for each reservation 1 hour before the reservation start time. These reminders are optional and hosts can turn off this reminder by going to their host account -> spot -> spot preferences -> reminders and turning the reminder off.
  • Google Calendar integration: Hosts can enable Sniffspot to automatically add reservations to their Google Calendar. In order to enable this, hosts can go to their host account -> spot -> spot preferences -> Add reservations automatically to Google Calendar. Note: This feature only adds bookings to your Google Calendar. It will NOT add Sniffspot calendar blocks to your Google Calendar, and it will NOT automatically block times on your Sniffspot calendar based on conflicts on your Google Calendar.
