Promoting your spot on Instagram

Instagram is a perfect platform for Sniffspot, because Instagram is photo-oriented and everyone loves dog photos! Here is how to do it:

  • Open the Instagram app on your phone or download it from the App Store or Google Play Store
  • Find a great photo; the best photos:
    • Have dogs in them
    • Are representative of your spot
    • Are high quality photos (well-framed, not blurry, good lighting)
  • Make a general post about your new sniff spot. 
    • Make sure to make it accessible to the public to maximize your reach.

    • Use popular and relevant hashtags:

      • Local dog hashtags (e.g. #seattledogs, #dogsofseattle)
      • Other dog-related hashtags
      • Tag @sniffspots in your posts
  • You can post every few days about your spot. If you can, take photos of your guests using your spot to share.
