How to change country in Stripe to USA

Hosts sometimes have issues that their Stripe account is set up for the UK or a different country, but they are located in the USA. This will not allow you to find the USD option on Stripe as you are set up in a different country. In this case, please follow the troubleshooting process here so you can reset your settings back to the USA.


  1. ​Please open a new window and log into Stripe directly by going to Stripe.com and logging in (note that it may also ask you for two-factor authentication when you log-in to Stripe)
  2. After you successfully log into Stripe (again, it's important you don't go via Sniffspot!) your account is most likely not activated yet. Please click the option to activate the account at the top of the page.
  3. Please click "Business Type" from the menu on the left, which is where you'll find a drop-down where you can modify the country for your Stripe account. You can update your country settings from the drop-down menu under the "Business location" field
  4. Once you do that - you can continue with the rest of the onboarding (activation) of your Stripe account and it will be connected to Sniffspot (you can later verify it by going from Sniffspot).
